Buddha Dordenma is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks, overlooking Thimphu Valley from Kuenselphodrang Nature Park. Standing at 51.5 metres (169 feet), it is among the world’s largest seated Buddha statues and symbolises peace, harmony, and spiritual wellbeing.

Built as part of a national spiritual vision, the statue houses thousands of smaller Buddha figures within and has become a place for reflection, prayer, and panoramic views over Thimphu.
